The second international scientific conference on Energy Transformation Technologies for Sustainable Future (ENTRUST) will take place on 11–14 May 2027 at the Lithuanian Energy Institute (LEI) in Kaunas, Lithuania. ENTRUST 2027 will explore energy security and economic competitiveness in Europe. Continuing the cross-sector dialogue of the first conference, it will bring together researchers, policymakers, energy sector representatives and innovators to discuss the challenges Europe is facing and potential solutions.
The energy sector is being shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, changing energy markets, climate change impacts and technological progress. In this context, Europe faces the challenge of ensuring a secure, reliable and affordable energy supply, protecting its energy infrastructure, and thereby strengthening its economic competitiveness. Innovative and sustainable solutions are essential to achieving this goal.
ENTRUST 2027 is an official event of Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2027. Closely aligned with the Presidency’s priorities, ENTRUST 2027 will provide a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue on how Europe can turn energy challenges into opportunities for innovation, economic growth and long-term resilience.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 31 January 2027. The submission system will open soon.
The first ENTRUST conference took place on 8–11 September 2026 at the Lithuanian Energy Institute in Kaunas. It brought together Lithuanian and international researchers, energy experts, business and public sector representatives to discuss energy transformation and solutions for a sustainable future. More than 260 participants from 15 countries took part in the event.
